When Can I Help?

Throughout all phases of life – from youth sports injuries to pregnancy to joint replacement surgery – various life activities and health conditions, and even just aging, can cause restrictions in our bodies that cause pain as well as a variety of other symptoms. Using a variety of hands-on techniques and at-home exercises, our goal is to get you out of pain and feeling better fast.

  • Sports injuries
  • Pre-natal and post-partum
  • Pelvic Health (bladder and bowel issues, pain)
  • Back and Neck Pain
  • Foot Pain
  • Arthritis
  • Vestibular/Balance
  • Degenerative Neuromuscular Conditions (Parkinson’s, ALS, Ataxias)
  • Pediatric Pelvic Health

What Techniques Do I Employ?

Massage is what often comes to mind when people think of treating pain, and it is an important therapeutic tool. But in addition to our muscles our bodies contain a lot of connective tissue and something called facia which surrounds all of these muscles and our internal organs. Many of the techniques below are focused on releasing restrictions in that connective tissue and facia to allow us to improve movement and reduce pain.

  • Massage
  • Myofascial Release
  • Craniosacral Therapy
  • Visceral Mobilization
  • Scar Tissue Release
  • Kinesio Taping

How Can I Help?

In addition to my training and experience in physical therapy, I have a background in nutrition as well as mind-body therapy. I take a very holistic approach to addressing your needs.

  1. Work with you to understand your history and diagnose the root causes of your symptoms
  2. Employ a wide variety of hands-on techniques to help release restrictions and improve function
  3. Provide you with a manageable (15 minutes / day) exercise program so that you can continue to improve outside our time together
  4. Support this work with mind-body and nutrition education to get you feeling like your best self

United Health Care and UHC Medicare and Medicaid

VA

I DO NOT ACCPT:

Cigna and Humana

WHY NOT?   They will not accept me.  I have spent considerable time and money applying to be a provider and they are not accepting new providers in the state of Tennessee.  Please feel free to complain to them.

No, in the state of Tennessee you can see a Physical therapist without a prescription or a doctor's referral for the first 90 days of treatment.  UNLESS you have Medicare.  They still require a prescription from a doctor

No.  But it is getting very confusing with chiropractors and PTs many of whom referral to themselves as doctors.  Unless someone has MD or DO after their name they are not a physician.  A chiropractor or physical therapist (or Pharmacist) can have a Doctorate in a clinical specialty but they are NOT a physician.  When I went to physical therapy school, we did not have doctorate programs.  That said I have a Bachelors in Nutrition and Physical therapy and another Masters in Physical therapy specializing in Orthopedics, amounting to 8 years of school + 35 years of experience.
